Air Canada had suspended all operations after more than 10,000 of the airline's flight attendants went on strike after a deadline to reach a deal passed

Air Canada says it plans to resume flights on Sunday after the Canadian government intervened and forced the airline and its striking flight attendants back to work and into arbitration.

More than 10,000 Air Canada flight attendants who went on strike early Saturday will be ordered to return to work by the Canada Industrial Relations Board (CIRB), according to a Saturday announcement by Canadian Jobs Minister Patty Hajdu.
