RALEIGH, N.C. -- Seth Jarvis broke a tie with a power-play goal in the third period, and the Carolina Hurricanes defeated the Buffalo Sabres 2-1 at Lenovo Center on Monday.

Josh Norris left midway through the second period against the Flyers with an upper-body injury and did not return.
