Chicago Bears head coach Ben Johnson was not pleased with the starting offense in Friday's 29-27 preseason win to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Trailing 20-3 near the end of the first half, Williams and the offense orchestrated a seven-play, 78-yard scoring drive, delivering big throws downfield. Williams found Olamide Zaccheaus for a 25-yard completion in the middle of the field and nearly connected with Rome Odunze on a deep jump ball that would have put the Bears in prime scoring position.

Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears starters are expected to play in Friday’s preseason finale in Kansas City, while other players are fighting for spots on the 53-man roster.
