OpenAI today launched a new, cheaper ChatGPT paid subscription plan in India called ChatGPT GO, priced at ₹399 per month ($4.60), which is more affordable than the ₹1,999 (about $23) per month Plus Plan.

OpenAI, maker of ChatGPT, plans to set up its first Indian office in New Delhi later this year, expanding its footprint in what is its No. 2 market by users. The Microsoft-backed company said in a statement on Friday that it has incorporated in India and begun recruiting locally.

OpenAI launched ChatGPT Go in India on Monday, offering higher message limits, more image generations and file uploads, plus longer memory than the free tier.
