Pittsburgh Steelers long snapper Christian Kuntz is believed to have suffered a broken sternum, according to Pat McAfee Show’s Mark Kaboly. That injury would knock Kuntz out for a considerable amount of time, and likely land him on injured reserve to start the season. The Steelers tried out four veteran long snappers on Sunday after the injury.
In addition to the previously reported signing of cornerback Kam Alexander, the team announced that they have signed long snapper Jake McQuaide and offensive tackle Julian Pearl. Defensive lineman Breiden Fehoko, wide receiver Roc Taylor, and linebacker Devin Harper were dropped from the roster in corresponding moves.
