While the Dallas Cowboys as a whole looked poor in their second preseason game, a few players did OK on their quest to make the team.

ARLINGTON — The work week, leading up to Saturday’s 31-13 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, began with an admission about a mystery. In the words of Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer, there was a reason quarterback Joe Milton played more than Will Grier in the first preseason game against the Rams.

The Ravens announced backup quarterback Cooper Rush will once again start. Rush, 31, spent all seven seasons of his career with the Cowboys before signing with the Ravens on a two-year deal this offseason.
