Google is kicking off the fall tech event season (albeit in late summer) today with its Made by Google showcase. The headline attraction at the event is the Pixel 10 lineup, but there's plenty of other interesting stuff on offer too,
Google’s Pixel 10 phones, to be released Aug. 28, have AI features that can help you take better photos and edit images in response to text or voice commands.
One of the more exciting live demos was the Google Pixel 10's new Voice Translate feature, which translates conversations in real-time. Fallon and Polinesia held a live conversation where Fallon spoke in English and Polinesia spoke in Spanish, and the Pixel 10 translated the conversation, matching their voices and tones.
The Pixel 10 lineup doesn’t dazzle on the outside, but inside, it packs serious power, sharper cameras, and next-gen AI—at the same price as last year's models.
Health Coach is powered by the company's Gemini AI model and functions as a fitness trainer, sleep coach, and health and wellness advisor — all-in-one. It can analyse data and adapt itself based on the user's personal health and wellness metrics, providing tailored goals based on real-time metrics collected from Fitbit or Pixel Watch.
But now comes the real question: does anybody care?
If leaked benchmark scores prove to be accurate, the Pixel 10 Pro XL will score about as high as the iPhone 13 models that Apple released in 2021.
Now, to know about Google’s new AI additions, we will have to wait until the “Made by Google” event, which is scheduled for August 21, at 10:30 PM IST. During the event, the company is expected to announce several new hardware products, such as the Pixel 10 series, Pixel Watch 4, and the affordable Pixel Buds 2a.
