The lucky winner of Saturday's drawing could choose between the full jackpot paid in annual installments over 29 years or a one-time cash payment of $316.3 million before taxes, according to Powerball.

The Powerball winning numbers are in for the Wednesday, Aug. 20 drawing with a jackpot that reached an estimated $643 million ($290.6 million cash value). The largest winning Powerball jackpot ticket sold in Michigan was worth $842.4 million and sold in January 2024 at Food Castle in Grand Blanc.

But it’s the Saturday, Aug. 23 Powerball jackpot that’s raising eyebrows, currently estimated at $700 million. That total likely will go higher before the drawing because of increased ticket sales. The Classic Lotto jackpot is $6.9 million for Saturday’s drawing.
