Volodymyr Zelensky finds himself in an impossible bind: risk Donald Trump's wrath or accept a quick deal to end Russia's war in Ukraine by paying the disastrous price of ceding territory for vague security guarantees.

Trump will meet the Ukrainian leader, along with several European heads of state and the NATO Secretary-General, on Monday.

According to the German government, the discussions will cover the state of peace efforts, security guarantees, territorial questions, continued support for Ukraine, and maintaining sanctions pressure.

The coalition of the willing, the alliance which is planning to police a future peace deal, will meet on Sunday afternoon.

The planned summit between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian leader Vladimir Putin is a "highly anticipated meeting," the Republican said.
