Off-duty officer fatally shoots man in Washington Heights: NYPD
An off-duty police officer fatally shot a 30-year-old man in Washington Heights Sunday night, after the man allegedly showed a weapon, according to the NYPD. Police say the off-duty officer was outside a residential building on West 173rd Street and Amsterdam Avenue around 9:46 p.
Upon seeing the weapon, the off-duty officer quickly drew his own gun and fired multiple rounds at the suspect.
