Open your Web browser and navigate to a website that allows you to unlock PDF files and remove editing permissions to remove editing restrictions on password-protected PDF files.

Click "File," then click "Save" on the menu bar to save the PDF document after editing it. Alternatively, click the "Floppy disk" icon on the toolbar to save the file.

Using a little-known trick, you can take almost any secured PDF and "unlock" it for further edits and optical character recognition.
