UNC lost the Victory Bell matchup for the second straight year and will likely miss a bowl game. All that’s left for the Tar Heels now is N.C. State.

NC State defeated Florida State 21-11 on Friday, Nov. 21. Bailey led NC State with 152 yards on 18-of-25 passing (72.0%) for two touchdowns and no interceptions. Smothers carried the ball 21 times for 84 yards, adding three receptions for zero yards. Justin Joly had five receptions for 66 yards and one touchdown.

The Florida State Seminoles lost for the sixth time in eight games on Friday. FSU ended its conference slate with a 21-11 defeat to the North Carolina State Wolfpack. In the first half, the Wolfpack limited the Seminoles to three points. Florida State scored its second-fewest points in a game this season.

The Wolfpack made FSU pay after the two botched punts. On a fourth-and-6 from the FSU 12, C.J. Bailey hit Justin Joly on a 12-yard touchdown pass to help lift NC State to a 21-11 lead with about 2 minutes to play.
