Another hot January day for North Texas Thursday before seasonable weather returns this weekend
Thursday is starting out very warm and windy in North Texas with temperatures in the mid- to upper 60s, more than 20 degrees warmer the same time on Wednesday.

For the first time in weeks, rain is in the North Texas forecast. It’s been a warm and dry start to the new year with daily temperatures ranging from the mid-60s to low 70s. But according to the National Weather Service Fort Worth, both of those things are expected to change later this week and into the weekend.

Texas sets new weather record
A new weather record was set in Texas this week, according to meteorologists. In a Tuesday post on X, the National Weather Service (NWS) forecast office for the Austin and San Antonio area said the daily record high temperature at Del Rio International airport was broken with a reading of 84 degrees Fahrenheit.
