Director Julius Onah recently opened up about the uncredited appearance of fan-favorite Sebastian Stan in the movie, who turned up for a single scene as Bucky Barnes ahead of his more prominent role in May’s release of Thunderbolts*.

So Bucky Barnes appears and reunites with Sam Wilson in Captain America: Brave New World, but what happens in their one scene together? Bucky arrives to comfort Sam at one of his lowest points in the movie.

In this film, Captain America is hunted by a new villain, only for him to learn that it’s his best friend, Bucky, back from the dead, and brainwashed. Most of the film is Cap trying to figure out why this has occurred, only to learn that the nefarious organization Hydra has its tentacles everywhere.
