We presume the same release schedule applies to the more powerful ROG Xbox Ally X. Both versions of the upcoming handheld are official, with ASUS and Microsoft having previously announced the collaboration on an Xbox-themed version of the ROG Ally. However, they've been coy in regards to releasing timing and price points.
After several weeks of rumours, both Asus and Xbox have announced when their collaborative handheld consoles will be available to buy. The ROG Xbox Ally X and ROG Xbox Ally will go on sale in the UK and other regions on 16 October 2025 – a date that has leaked in recent times.
The US prices for the Xbox ROG Ally and Ally X have leaked online, ahead of the official pre-order pages dropping reportedly on August 20.
If accurate, that would make it more expensive than the Xbox Series X (£493.48, Amazon.co.uk) home console, but roughly in line with the existing Asus ROG Ally device (£449.99, Amazon.co.uk), on which the upcoming Xbox handheld is based. As well as an ...
The news is now official: the Asus ROG Xbox Ally and Xbox Ally X consoles will go on sale from 16 October 2025. That's in territories including the UK, USA, Australia and much of Europe. The big question, however, is how much it'll set you back. That, right now, isn't something that's known.
