Black Ops 7 takes place in the year 2035 and features futuristic weapons and gear. Additionally, Black Ops 7 has a new "Overlock" system that allows players to further augment their loadouts. Beyond that, the Omnimovement system from Black Ops 6 is back in Black Ops 7, and it's beefed up with a wall-jumping ability.

At gamescom opening night live 2025 we were able to see a new trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. We also learned the game's release date.

Black Ops 7 pre-order listings have gone live on Xbox and PlayStation Stores, revealing the game is 200GB+ and the prices of its editions.
