The Derby Fire, located north of Dotsero in White River National Forest grew to 839 acres Tuesday evening, according to the Watch Duty app. The measurement is more than three times the 245 acre estimation Tuesday evening. The growth has prompted evacuation orders in the area of Sweetwater Lake and a complete closure of Colorado River Road.

On Saturday, Colorado Parks and Wildlife stated in a press release that the operations to capture and bring up to 15 more wolves from Canada started on Friday and would last up to two weeks. The next day, reports surfaced that a plane carrying wolves leaving Prince George, British Columbia, landed at the Eagle County Regional Airport in Gypsum.

The two fires are called the Derby Fire, located in Eagle County near Garfield County, and the La Plata Fire, located in Chaffee and Lake counties in the Pike-San Isabel National Forests.
