ORLANDO, Fla. — Central Florida will experience warm and muggy weather on Thursday, with temperatures reaching the 90s. A west wind is expected to drive up temperatures along the coastline and move scattered showers from west to east across the Peninsula.
Weather hazard maps have nearly 100 colors including six variations of red, a "bisque," "moccasin," cornflower blue, and Dodger blue. Experts are working to simplify the alerts.
Central Florida will be breezy and warm on Wednesday with lower chances for rain and storms. Our area will see some fast-moving showers with high temperatures in the low 90s Wednesday afternoon. Winds will blow from the north-northwest at speeds of 10 to 15 mph, with gusts reaching up to 25 mph.
