President Donald Trump’s Wednesday speech at the World Economic Forum in Switzerland was filled with inaccurate claims – notably including false and misleading statements about NATO and Greenland, the self-governing Danish territory he is pushing for the US to acquire.
President Trump is addressing the gathering of world leaders, CEOs and policymakers as America's allies balk at his efforts to acquire Greenland.
"They're not there for us on Iceland, that I can tell you," the president said in a remark that appeared to be about Greenland.

The surreal clamor over Greenland provoked by Trump has shadowed proceedings in Davos, heightening fears of an emerging rupture between the U.S. and Europe.
Republicans instead discounted that Trump was ever serious about conquering the island, even as they appeared to support acquiring Greenland for national security reasons. “All
