A bus carrying tourists from Niagara Falls to New York City rolled over on Interstate 90 near the town of Pembroke, New York, approximately 40 miles east of Niagara Falls. The accident occurred at approximately 12:20 p.

A tour bus with more than 50 passengers lost control and rolled over on the New York State Thruway near Pembroke, killing five people, police said.

The New York State Thruway Authority reported traffic backed up in the area. WIVB-TV in Buffalo reported several Mercy Flight helicopters were requested, and some uninjured passengers were taken to the Indian Falls Fire Station.
