Texas Sets New Weather Record
A new weather record was set in Texas this week, according to meteorologists. In a Tuesday post on X, the National Weather Service (NWS) forecast office for the Austin and San Antonio area said the daily record high temperature at Del Rio International airport was broken with a reading of 84 degrees Fahrenheit.
North Texans can expect a sunny, mild start to the first weekend of 2026. Friday’s weather forecast calls for mostly sunny skies with highs in the low 70s and lows in the mid-50s, according to the National Weather Service’s Fort Worth office. Northwest winds could reach up to 15 mph during the day.
