The Derby Fire, located north of Dotsero in White River National Forest grew to 839 acres Tuesday evening, according to the Watch Duty app. The measurement is more than three times the 245 acre estimation Tuesday evening. The growth has prompted evacuation orders in the area of Sweetwater Lake and a complete closure of Colorado River Road.

The Lee Fire has burned 137,485 acres of land, and firefighters have dramatically increased the fire’s containment to 61%. The Derby Fire, about 15 miles north of Dotsero, has been mapped at 25 acres and growing, according to officials.
The two fires are called the Derby Fire, located in Eagle County near Garfield County, and the La Plata Fire, located in Chaffee and Lake counties in the Pike-San Isabel National Forests.
