HOUSTON – Firefighters are at the scene of a fire at an apartment complex on the northwest side of Houston Tuesday evening. The fire is located at 2703 Teague Road. Video shot from Beltway 8 by KPRC 2’s Bryce Newberry shows a plume of smoke off in the distance from the fire.

The two-alarm fire was reported Tuesday morning near the I-45 Gulf Freeway and Hartsook Street at the Del Mar Apartments. Several fire trucks are at the scene. The roof of one of the buildings was burned away. The bulk of the flames appear to be put out, but smoke is still rising. Firefighters are continuing to spray water.

The Houston Fire Department provided an update following a 3-alarm apartment fire that sparked up on Tuesday evening on Teague Road. Officials said the fire sparked up in the 2700 block of Teague Road around 6:15 p.m. A third alarm was called for additional manpower to fight the flames.
