Jake Paul was supposed to fight Anthony Joshua while Gervonta Davis was expected to rematch Lamont Roach. But hey, this is boxing, so Paul will fight Davis instead, despite the fact that he outweighs “Tank” by nearly 66 pounds.

Boxing star Gervonta Davis is no longer facing a misdemeanor battery charge stemming from a June 15 incident involving the mother of his two children. Davis, 30, was arrested on July 11 in Broward County, Fla., following allegations that he physically assaulted the woman during a heated argument outside her home.

To recap, Gervonta Davis was slated for a title fight rematch with Lamont Roach in August while Jake Paul was in talks for a major step-up against Anthony Joshua, the former heavyweight champion. Instead, they will meet each other in what amounts to a show that will no doubt do…
