PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A student has died after a classroom fight escalated into a stabbing at a Phoenix high school late Tuesday morning. “We are heartbroken by this senseless tragedy today at Maryvale High School,” said PXU Superintendent Thea Andrade.
Phoenix City Councilwoman Betty Guardado, who represents District 5, joined AZAM to speak on the deadly stabbing that happened at Maryvale High School on Aug. 19. Police say a student died after being stabbed by another student in a classroom.
One student died and another was injured in a stabbing incident at Maryvale High School in Phoenix, police said. Both people were transported to a hospital, but authorities have not yet released their identities.
