Amid US President Donald Trump's unpredictable foreign policy, Asian giants — India and China — are cautiously strengthening ties by staging a series of high-level bilateral visits.
Trump has chosen to make India a pawn in his quest to settle the Ukrainian war. His deep desire for a Nobel Peace Prize is well known. The meeting followed Wang Yi’s two-day official visit to India, during which he also met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar.
China and India have agreed to restore border stability and deepen cooperation in trade, diplomacy, and travel, marking a major thaw in relations despite U.S. pressure over Russian oil.
It follows his meeting China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi in New Delhi this week.Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi hailed the "steady progress" made in improving the bilateral relationship with China during his meeting with Beijing's Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Tuesday.
