Smoke is showing up on RADAR. Wind showing 11 MPH. The Corps of Enginners as well as the Department of Natural Resources will be conducting controlled burning today. These burns will be on the Northeast side of Hwy. 67 and will encompass portions of the bird sanctuary and also the Confluence State Park. An approximate total of 1,100 acres will be burned today starting around 1100 am and going into the evening. The smoke resulting from these burns will be seen for miles. (Seen near Hartford) | Do
