26 years to the day since the sinking of the Estonia, a tragic disaster that claimed lives of 852 people. The Estonia tragedy happened in 1994, in one of the worst maritime disasters of the 20th century. Ultimately, it was caused by the free surface effect due to seawater on the vehicle deck.
