The team has officially wrapped up work on Niutao Island ✊🏾🌊. From maintenance on the existing solar still distillation (SSD) farms to installing new panels, the team also completed roof-guttering installations and water tank connections under the Tuvalu Water Security Programme. 🌞 Niutao Update! Earlier this week, our team on Niutao Island carried out maintenance on existing solar still farms and installed new panels. These systems desalinate and distil water, producing up to 65 litres of clean drinking water per day in sunny conditions. 💧 The team has since moved on to installing roof guttering systems for designated households, another step towards ensuring water security for the community.
