This is just my opinion and I don't have a way to positively confirm sales numbers, but the gaming industry appears to be making BILLIONS of dollars selling replacement controllers because they are intentionally using inferior parts that wear out, sometimes in a matter of months. Yep, in this video I take a bunch of LEGO bricks and build a working LEGO Xbox Series X. That means not only building it but also cutting holes for the buttons and ports, fitting everything inside, and, of course, made sure it worked when I was done. ►Tools & Parts I Use (paid link): https://www.amazon.com/shop/tronicsfix ►TronicsFix Game Console Repair

Back in 2023, I paid $80 for this broken blue PSP. It's a fairly rare handheld but it wasn't working because a repair shop had tried to repair it by replacing the screen but ended up causing more damage. Initially the PSP wouldn't even turn on and I found it wasn't put back together correctly. There were also things that needed to be fixed on the motherboard before I could bring this handheld back to life. One of my viewers sent me this Xbox Series X because they tried to fix it, made it worse, and then gave up. The initial problem was an HDMI port that needed replaced but several other things were damaged in the process. Once I get it working again, I know someone whose Xbox broke that I'm going to give it to. | TronicsFix

One of my viewers sent me this Steam Deck because playing it was negatively impacting his life. The handheld mostly works, but it’s far from perfect—the R1 button is broken and the analog stick needs replacing. It's also pretty grimy and could use some cleaning. My goal? Fix it up so someone else can enjoy playing it. Let’s bring this Steam Deck back to life. | TronicsFix

In 2024, I sold two Xboxes I had repaired… but when the customers received them, they both said the systems didn’t work! So I had them shipped back to me to find out what happened. Did I make mistakes repairing these consoles, or was something else going on? | TronicsFix

Nathan bought a broken PS4 Pro to try to fix, replaced the HDMI port, and got it working... for a while. It eventually stopped working and he couldn't get it working again. So he sent it to me to see if I can fix it. Oh, and did I mention, Nathan is only 12 years old? I'm always inspired by stories from my viewers who try to fix their own electronics. It's really intimidating when you're first starting out and Nathan did a very good job with his first PS4 repair attempt. Check out our 2 desk mat

I bought this broken PS Vita on eBay from a seller whose game store was recently flooded. I've got to clean the dirt off, as well as the rust and corrosion that's to be expected when electronics get wet. Glad to support a small business who's dealing with a tough situation - even if I can't get it working again. | TronicsFix

Even though this is from a while back, I still can't believe the repair shop didn't fix this Xbox properly. The seller of this Xbox Series X took it to a repair shop for HDMI port repair but after spending $400 it only worked for about a month before it went back to not showing an image on the screen. So I take it apart to see if we can figure out what went wrong. And get it working again, of course. | TronicsFix

One of my viewers got this Original Xbox Debug Kit from a former Microsoft employee - but they were told it's broken. So they sold it to me so I could see if I can get it working again. Initially it seems to work fine but something is weird with the disc drive and it won't play a game. This is my first time working on a console like this so it should be interesting. | TronicsFix

I found this old repair video in my archives. Videos like this always end up being a bit divisive: Did I actually repair it? Or did I just replace stuff? I bought this Taco Bell Limited Edition Xbox One X for $168 (plus shipping) on eBay in 2022. According to the seller, it had a power on/off issue. The Xbox was clearly opened before and seemed like it was having an overheating issue when I tried to start it up. But it needed a lot more work than just the perfect amount of thermal paste! | Troni

I bought 2 Special Edition Zelda 3DS XLs to see if I could fix them and get them working again. One of them has a non-working button and the other won't play games. Hopefully not too complicated... as long as we don't find additional problems. ►Tools & Parts I Use (paid link): https://www.amazon.com/shop/tronicsfix ►TronicsFix Game Console Repair Forum: https://www.tronicsfixforum.com/ | TronicsFix

Today I'm walking you through how to safely clean your Nintendo Switch 2 in 3 stages: from a quick surface clean to a full deep clean. (Yes, we’re even replacing the thermal paste.) It's surpising how quickly the dust and gunk builds up. So honestly, how close are you to needing to clean your Switch 2? All the way back in 2023, I paid $1,000 for this rare, broken Nintendo DSi. The seller said the top screen was broken but... that wasn't the only issue. Getting a rare handheld like this working again by replacing the defective parts is so very satisfying. One of my viewers sent me this Xbox Series X after a repair shop told them it was "unfixable." The disc drive makes very strange noises and this could be a pretty tricky fix since Xbox Series disc drives are married to the motherboard. But I'm pretty confident this console is fixable. I paid $700 for this rare, special edition white Xbox. Only 1,000 of these were sold and it was a Japan exclusive so I was really excited to be able to buy it. It won't fully start up and the hard drive is making clicking noises but I'm hopeful I can get it working again. ►TronicsFix Discord: https://discord.gg/tronicsfix ►Tools & Parts I Use (paid link): https://www.amazon.com/shop/tronicsfix ►TronicsFix Game Console Repair Forum: https://www.tronicsfixforum.com/ | TronicsFix

So this one didn't go as planned. I was excited to find a "broken" Switch 2 at a second-hand store but it wasn't what I expected. Luckily I had another broken Switch 2 that I bought off eBay that had a bit more wrong with it: a broken thumb stick and a non-functional SD card reader. | TronicsFix

$275 to Fix this PS5...WHAT???! My viewer took their PS5 to a local repair shop after the HDMI port broke. The shop charged them their normal fee and then later an additional fee to try to fix the console but were never able to actually get it working. So the console was sent to me to see if I can figure it out. Send Us Your Broken Console: https://tronicsfix.com/pages/viewer-electronics-repair-submissions | TronicsFix

This video from early 2024 reminds me how much I love working on retro gaming systems. And that I definitely need to do more of them. This Nintendo Donkey Kong Junior tabletop arcade is such a cool piece of gaming history. Repairs like this are so much fun because older systems are so much different than modern consoles and it's so satisfying to get them fully working again. | TronicsFix

I bought 3 broken robot vacuums from eBay to see if I could fix them. All three were Roomba vacuums and there were several different problems including one with a weird vibration/noise and one that had an error 31 issue. I've maybe repaired one similar vacuum years ago but don't have much experience with repairing these so I'm definately not an expert. Sometimes it's fun to try something new though and see how it goes. Do you have a robot vacuum? Share your thoughts on robot vacuums in general o

I think this might be my favorite repair shop scam video this year. My viewer took their PS5 to a local repair shop after the HDMI port broke. The shop charged them their normal fee and then later an additional fee to try to fix the console but were never able to actually get it working. I hate it when my viewers get scammed - but it's going to happen so we might as well get some entertainment out of seeing what happened and if I can fix it. Do you have a broken console with an interesting story

Digging through the video archives and found this gem... A viewer named Joel took his son's Nintendo 3DS XL to a repair shop to see if they could replace the top screen...but they were unable to fix it. I've done a number of these repairs before so I'm not worried I won't be able to do it. But it is a tricky repair and things don't always go as planned. | TronicsFix

I bought 4 "refurbished" game consoles from Temu so I can see what the condition is on the outside and then open them up for a thorough inspection of the inside. Hopefully we can see what is so "refurbished" about them. The four consoles are a Switch Lite, a PS5, a Switch OLED, and a Nintendo 64. | TronicsFix
