When money’s tight, you’ve got to get creative. I’ve been tossing around the idea of putting ATV tires on my Patina Cub for a while now, and today I finally made it happen! I’m not the first to think of this, but it feels pretty great to see it actually come together. It’s all about finding ways to make backcountry flying more accessible and affordable. If the weather’s good tomorrow, I’ll take them up for a test flight. Can’t wait to see how they perform! What do you think—give me your honest t

I haven’t forgotten about the Turbine Cub—trust me, it’s always on my mind. First, I needed to get the Patina Cub dialed in, and now I’m working on another exciting mod idea I can’t share just yet. My brain doesn’t stop thinking about ways to make experimental bush planes more fun, more affordable, and to push the limits. It’s all about trying new things, thinking outside the box, and making it happen. In the meantime, I’ve been juggling customer builds, and Michelle has been full-out with her c

Work-in-Progress Wednesday! Another Super Cub in the works, and this one’s getting wrapped up with some extra help. I’ve got two work experience students in the hangar, and I couldn’t be more stoked to pass on the skills. Teaching the next generation is what it’s all about—but having my son in the mix makes it even better. Weight and balance? Good to go. 😂 Made solid progress on the Turbine Cub this past weekend with Dayce. Wish we could put in full-time hours—she’d be flying by now. But helping others chase their dream is part of living ours. Sharing the Turbine Cub build isn’t always easy—figuring things out as we go while knowing everyone’s a critic definitely adds to the anxiety. Social media takes judgment to a whole new level, but we remind ourselves why we do this. We love the journey, and we’re grateful for the ones who are here for it. The ones rooting for us, supporting us, and making this community what it is—you’re our people, and we can’t thank you enough. . . . #turbinecub #experimentalaircraft #bushplane #backcountryfly
