One of my favourite animals is a Giraffe so I loved creating this painting. I've selected a few clips which show a few key layers and every section starts with a good base foundation. There I work on adding details but in stages. Here are a few clips of a Giraffe I did in pastels. I had a lot of fun creating this where I worked in greyscale one side and colour on the other. Focusing on the importance of values; highlights and shadows and then colour selection for deciding which pastel pencils to use for the fur.
